Marblehead residents may recall when in early April 2009, Christopher dove into Marblehead's Harbor and began a 1000+ mile swim down the Atlantic coast to Washington DC.
The swim is part of a nationwide environmental education campaign. Christopher is sampling the water at 3,000 locations along the rout in order to measure and map the effects of pollution and Climate Change, and working with over 50,000 schoolchildren on projects to improve the health of the ocean.
I met him recently at our store and found that he is an exceptionally motivated, capable, and accomplished individual who is making a significant contribution to the marine environment.
